When I was fifteen I loved visual advertising. Especially Altoids Ads. Though my software is more easy to use now, I used to shrink down the Altoids ads I found on the internet onto a Microsoft Word document. I printed them all out and laminated them. I had a dream to turn them all into a huge necklace.

 It didn’t work out well so I turned them into earrings. Junior year came along and I tried to sell oven-mitt purses. That didn’t work out well, but people kept on asking me for my earrings.

So senior year rolled along and I started to sell them. I decided to walk into some stores and who knew that Chloe Dao, the winner from Project Runway, would start a consignment with me on my first try on walking into stores!?

That’s how it really all started. I now sell online and in many stores nationally.

The company name came from love of Art Nouveau and French 1920's postcards.

There was an Art Nouveau magazine in the early 20th century called "Frou Frou."

So that is the idea of the phrase: "Frou Frou Bijou."
